Why Am I So Tired

Many people ask themselves why am I so tired. Many folks feel this condition right after a big meal or after a long nights sleep. It just does not make sense. Feeling tired can also be brought on by stresses of work or the worry about a loved one’s health. Though it is arguable, drowsiness or tiredness can be brought on by adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal glands are located near the kidney which distributes hormones in the body. Blood pressure and fluid regulators control many physiological systems in our bodies which allow the body to operate properly. Cortisol is one of the hormones that are discharged by the adrenal glands. This hormone helps us deal with stressful conditions of everyday life. Without the constant flow of necessary Cortisol, the body will feel out of sync and the person will constantly feel lethargic.

Without understanding the symptoms related to fatigue, there may be long periods before a person actually visits a physician. One of the symptoms of fatigue is the inability to muster up enough energy to become physically motivated and the periods of these time spans can become exceedingly long. With a lack of exercise, a sudden gain in weight will come quickly. This weight gain will typically happen around the mid-section and can be difficult to lose.

There are a few other symptoms if you continue to wonder: Why am I so tired?  At this point, the affected person may try to overcome the adrenal fatigue condition by taking stimulants that are loaded with caffeine. This condition can also prevent those that catch common ailments such as cold and flu to not quickly recover, as it can have an effect on the human’s immune system. There is no doubt that ingesting high amounts of caffeine can cause side effects such as diarrhea, restless or sleepless nights and even aches and pains that seem to become chronic.

Adrenal fatigue is caused by constant stress without having a release such as proper rest. A job or marriage can create stress above what is normal. Those that are not happy due to anger problems or fear can also bring on the condition. Additionally, those that go overboard with exercise or suffering from mental strain can become tired quickly but will still find it hard to sleep.

One of the first things a person that is constantly tired should do, is to seek the advice a physician. They will likely know right away what the problems are. However, they will have to do blood work to get to the bottom of your condition. Proper diet is an absolute must. Foods with plenty of iron will be needed to get a quick jumpstart on the way back to feeling normal and healthy. Proper exercise will be another requirement that can strengthen the body, but it must be done in moderation. Your physician may prescribe medications that will help you to stop asking Why Am I So Tired. Each person should have a checkup at least once a year.
